GOOD READS

One of my favorite books of all time is Final Blackout. L. Ron Hubbard, the author of that book, describes a great deal about how to write fiction in essays that appear in the magazine L. Ron Hubbard The Writer: The Shaping of Popular Fiction, which I highly recommend to any writer.

Mr. Hubbard also created a contest for up-and-coming authors, called Writers of the Future Contest. Not only is the contest a great opportunity for writers of speculative fiction, the stories in the yearly anthologies where the works of all the finalists are published are great reading.

For more insight into L. Ron Hubbard's writing career, L. Ron Hubbard - Literary Correspondence has some fascinating letters.

While I'm on the subject of L. Ron Hubbard, here's a site about him in Spanish L. Ronald Hubbard: El Fundador de Cienciología

SCIENTOLOGY FIELD GROUPS

I have a lot of respect for people who help others, and Scientology Field auditors and groups are high on my list of cool people for that reason. An auditor is defined as: a person trained and qualified in applying Dianetics and/or Scientology processes and procedures to individuals for their betterment; called an auditor because auditor means one who listens.

Here are some Scientology field groups and auditors that have web sites:

Scientology field auditors in Los Angeles - Vigil Field Group

Debbie Collins Spiritual Counseling group

Scientology Spiritual Counseling - Better Life Center

James Newell Counseling Services

Life Improvement Centre - Calcioli Field Practice
