The last two nights we've had the most glorious sunsets here in LA.

No seasons, no real weather changes, but stunning dawns and sunsets - at least we have some variety.

Here are some other sites about Scientology that I have found to be really helpful:

Lifepositive: Scientology - This is a description of Scientology and Dianetics beliefs and principles by Dr. Subhash Sood, one of the earliest Scientologists in India. As Dr. Sood puts it: ''The philosophical doctrine of liberation has two major interpretations. One is that God is an external agency and we are at His mercy. And the other, the Buddhist and Vedantic concept is that God or Truth, if you will, is in every human and is eminently attainable. Scientology promotes and follows this doctrine of self-determinism as much as our own ancient Vedic and Buddhist texts.''

Yahoo! Groups : About Scientology This is a fun site - a community of Scientologists on the Internet, and their favorite Scientology links.

Here are some sites I really like.

OCRT - SCIENTOLOGY This is a page by the Ontario Consultants on Religious Freedom. Dr. Robinson runs this web site as a public service, and has the courage to speak out on the issue of religious tolerance, its importance, and how the lack of this basic human right affects members of minority religions. His description of Scientology is excellent. It covers the main tenets of the Scientology religion, and gives a very straight perspective on Scientology.

Scientology (CESNUR) This is another fine site. Dr. Introvigne has taken great care to find and make available legal decisions, and other official recognitions of the Church of Scientology. A read through these essays, articles and court documents dispels myths about Scientology, which is really helpful to Scientologists, especially in Western Europe where religious intolerance toward minority religions can be so pronounced.

Allexperts Scientology Q&A Here's a useful site. Persons knowledgeble in Scientology stand by to answer questions. They list their credentials, and how to contact them.

Here's an article from Scientology's Clearwater Freedom magazine An Annual Tribute to Religion's Founder - presented by Mr. David Miscavige, RTC and Freedom Magazine

I always attend the events in honor of L. Ron Hubbard's birthday. There is always such good news presented.

Here are some other interesting links on the subject of Scientology:

GOOD READS

One of my favorite books of all time is Final Blackout. L. Ron Hubbard, the author of that book, describes a great deal about how to write fiction in essays that appear in the magazine L. Ron Hubbard The Writer: The Shaping of Popular Fiction, which I highly recommend to any writer.

Mr. Hubbard also created a contest for up-and-coming authors, called Writers of the Future Contest. Not only is the contest a great opportunity for writers of speculative fiction, the stories in the yearly anthologies where the works of all the finalists are published are great reading.

For more insight into L. Ron Hubbard's writing career, L. Ron Hubbard - Literary Correspondence has some fascinating letters.

While I'm on the subject of L. Ron Hubbard, here's a site about him in Spanish L. Ronald Hubbard: El Fundador de Cienciología

SCIENTOLOGY FIELD GROUPS

I have a lot of respect for people who help others, and Scientology Field auditors and groups are high on my list of cool people for that reason. An auditor is defined as: a person trained and qualified in applying Dianetics and/or Scientology processes and procedures to individuals for their betterment; called an auditor because auditor means one who listens.

Here are some Scientology field groups and auditors that have web sites:

Scientology field auditors in Los Angeles - Vigil Field Group

Debbie Collins Spiritual Counseling group

Scientology Spiritual Counseling - Better Life Center

James Newell Counseling Services

Life Improvement Centre - Calcioli Field Practice

One of my favorite magazines in on-line: L. Ron Hubbard - The Dianetics Letters

If you've read Dianetics, the Modern Science of Mental Health you may be curious about what L. Ron Hubbard's life must have been like around the time he published the book. I was. It was so interesting to read his correspondence from that time period. It gave me much more insight into the man.

One of my favorite sites is L. Ron Hubbard, A Profile. It's so remarkable to me what L. Ron Hubbard accomplished.

Another intersting site about Mr. Hubbard is L. Ron Hubbard Tributes and Recognitions Every year on March 13th Scientologists commemorate the anniversary of Mr. Hubbard's birth with an event that is televised to all Scientology churches and missions. David Miscavige usually hosts the event, and often gives a summary of the advances of the religion for the year just past, and this site has transcripts of his speeches.

Happy New Year to all. Here is my sincere wish that 2004 be the year that brings this world much closer to real and lasting peace.

Here's a message from my church that really expresses what's important to me too: 2004 New Years Message from the Church of Scientology International
