Scientology Human Rights Activism

Youth for Human Rights Delegates

I have several friends who are very much involved in promoting human rights through groups they have joined at the Scientology churches.

One such group is Youth for Human Rights. Although this group is not part of the church, the Church of Scientology International Human Rights Director supports the program and sponsors or co-organizes many of their events.

The David Miscavige blogigo blog carried as story of one of their recent events where Youth for Human Rights International held an international youth summit at Jordon High School in Watts.

Scientology Volunteer Ministers

I agree with Peggo in her Beautiful England Scientology Blog that it's very rewarding being a Scientology Volunteer Minister

I'm very proud of my friends who have gone to disaster areas to help.

Scientology and Silent Birth

There's been a lot of conjecture about what a Scientology silent birth is all about, since the announcement last week that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are expecting a baby.

Here's what it says on www.scientology.org on the subject:

What is a “Silent Birth”?

In the book, Dianetics, L. Ron Hubbard writes that for the benefit of the mother and child, silence should be maintained during childbirth. This is because any words spoken are recorded in the reactive mind and can have an aberrative effect on the mother and the child. The same applies to the vicinity of any injured person. To find out why, read Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health.
www.dianetics.org

The best thing to do, to find out what this is about is to visit a Scientology church, mission or group and ask to see the "Dianetics How-To" video. I really recommend anyone who is interested taking the Dianetics Seminar. The reason I suggest this is because the principles underlying why one has a silent birth has everything to do with Dianetics, and it is the basic principles you learn in Dianetics that explains why a Scientologist would chose to do this.

Applied Scholastics

Applied Scholastics has a terrific program that would benifit any school, parent, tutor or mentor.

When I was studying to teach, quite some years ago, the one thing I and all my fellow student teachers kept looking for was technology that would work. We got all kinds of theories thrown at us, but when you tried them out in the real world none of them had much value, and they certainly didn't work with every child.

Applied scholastics uses L. Ron Hubbard Study Technology, and it works. It works 100% of the time. It works to resolve:
A lot of these will be familiar to teachers. They are what make teaching kids hell. And the reason we got into teaching in the first place was to help kids. There's nothing more frustrating than when you can't do that.

Study tech
is easy to learn.

Applied Scholastics offers teacher training, school curricula, and has numerous schools around the world that apply L. Ron Hubbard Study Technology.

With the support and guidance of the Association for Better Living and Education (ABLE), Applied Scholastics International opens the doors to opportunity by implementing effective educational programs in a vast array of settings for both children and adults.
