The Church of Scientology of Johannesburg, South Africa is having its grand opening this weekend. Beautiful new premises, and the start of a new era for Scientology in South Africa!

Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) has updated their web site, and it really smokes. Psychiatric violations of human rights can hardly be classified as good news, but exposing and erradicating these violations is good news, indeed.

Even the FDA have finally recognized the fact that use of Antidepressants is linked with suicides in children. Hopefully that's the first step in being able to stop medicating kids for being kids.

I've been reading the book, Scientology: The Fundamentals of Thought and it has really given me insight into myself. I've been using some of the things I've learned from it over the past week, and I notice the difference. There's more information about the book here.

Here are some books I recommend:

Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health

I first read this book in 1969. It is not an exageration to say that this book completely changed my viewpoint and life. For the first time I understood why people (inlcuding me :) ) acted the way they did. What a relief!

Science of Survival: Prediction of Human Behavior
This book is probably my favorite book by L. Ron Hubbard. I've read it many times, and each time I do, I learn more. It is so liberating to understand life, and this book gives you that understanding.

Here's some more news from one of my favorite sites: Good News Network. Here's a story about good teachers being recognized and awarded $25,000 each for doing what they're doing. I just thing that's great.

My friends sometimes ask me where they can find out about Scientology since it's obvious I love it, and it has done so much for me.

There are two directories I recommend for finding out about the Scientology Religion . These are the Church of Scientology category in the Open Directory Project and the Yahoo! Scientology category .

Now here's one lady who really deserves to be acknowledged as a humanitarian: Shirin Ebadi, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize for 2003 . Read about her reception on her return to Iran after winning the prize here .

Check out The Good News Network. All they print is good news! They state in their mission statement: "Instead of being balanced, we offer only one side- the positive side-the side you rarely get from news today. The Good News Network will be a clearinghouse for the gathering and dissemination of positive news stories. We present the glorifying, NOT the horrifying. " I think that is just great.

Talking of good news, here's my favorite site by far for good news: the Church of Scientology Official Site. The best news I know about or could imagine is that no matter how bad it may seem, something can be done about it, if you know how, and Scientology is a technology that specializes in life and handling unwanted conditions in life. And the best news about that, is that it works!

Here's some good news! Schwarzenegger A bright, fresh, optimistic view, with the intention to improve conditions.

And he was so gracious in his acceptance speech.

I really objected to the Democtrat mud-slinging at the 11th hour and I for one think that's what lost Davis his office.

Check out this great program to help the New York Firemen an EMT workers who risked their lives and health at Ground Zero on 9/11.

And here's more on the story: 1010 WINS: Report: Firefighters Seek "Scientology Treatment"
